Klaus (Joseph Morgan) seems to have joined the dark witch team as he exacts a plan of revenge on his siblings and the woman who tried to run off with his baby.
Let’s bitch it out…
I KNEW it. I knew that Klaus (Joseph Morgan) would never ever bite Cami (Leah Pipes) like that without a motive. I will admit that I was worried for a second, but I’m happy and not surprised that he used her to carry out his plan. Also I’m happy and not surprised that he even has a plan and this isn’t him going off the deep end while joining ranks with the enemy. However, annoyingly I found myself talking back to the TV as the episode ended and Cami claimed to know the secret to killing Dahlia. Why not share with the rest of the class, Cami?! I’m going to assume it has something to do with Dahlia (Claudia Black) telling Freya (Riley Voelkel) that its not Freya’s blood that can be used for the spell to kill her, because Freya isn’t the witch that she loves most. I’m going to go out on a limb and say that its mama Mikaelson, Dahlia’s sister. Though we killed her a few episodes back so I’m not sure how this will work if I’m right….
Ok. I’m interested in what’s going to happen to Rebekah (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) now that she’s trying to kill herself out of this body she currently inhabits in hopes that she will jump back to her old body.. as she assumes Klaus was trying to force her to do. Seems like a lot of assuming going on by Rebekah in this plan and I’m just not sure I buy it. Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) is not convinced and neither am I. Obviously the Rebekah of this body doesn’t know that the old body is in a new show with David Duchovny that’s premiering later this month. Poor girl stabbed herself in the throat and she may not have a body to jump back to.
Wow. I know that I have been extremely vocal in my reviews about how I feel about Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), but wow. Maybe all that screaming got to me, and seeing their bodies contort like that… but wow. I feel bad for her. Aside from the shock and betrayal of having Klaus side with the psychotic witch trying to steal their baby, she is also responsible for condemning her pack to a fate we know they despise.
When grandma Mary (Debra Mooney) had the task of running off with baby Hope when Klaus and Dahlia arrived, I was a little shocked to see Mary start to turn with the rest of them. I guess I should’ve realized that she is a werewolf as well and was reaping the benefits of having Jack (Nathan Parsons) linked to Hayley. But what surprised me even more is that she turned in to a werewolf and then she left the baby!!!! I’m sorry, she couldn’t have turned in to a werewolf and then stayed near the car to make sure nothing happened to Hope? Nope, she turns and then promptly disappears so no one is there to protect the baby at all. After everything we’ve had to endure for weeks on end of people keeping this baby safe, in one fell swoop, the baby is alone on the side of the road. Sigh. I hope grandma Mary has to explain this one.
Other Observations:
- Cami must have a stomach of steel for a human because she just cut in to Elijah’s chest and reached in there like it ain’t no thang. I’m guessing it was the adrenaline because that was nasty.
- I love seeing Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) working as mentor to Davina (Danielle Campbell), though I’m not a huge fan of how Davina goes all bad ass on the witches and can barely fit her huge ego through the tombstones of that cemetery. I guess I just don’t think she has the right motives to act as regent for all those witch covens. We know she only wants to get Kol (an unseen Daniel Sharman) back and needs the power of the covens to do so. I’ll have to see how this one plays out before I make any opinions.
- Well, I guess I don’t have to worry about annoying Gia (Nishi Munshi) anymore. I was wondering at the open of the episode why they chose to include her in this episode and make an obvious show of Elijah’s affection for her. Well that was answered pretty quickly! After seeing her burn to death like that, I kind of feel bad for not liking her for no reason. Kind of.
What did you think of this episode? Do you agree with my guess for how to kill Dahlia? If so, how do you think that will work? Are you interested in what’s going to happen to Rebekah? How will Hayley and the wolves get to be on the show if they’re stuck in wolf form all month long? Sound off below!
The Originals airs on Mondays at 8pm EST on the CW.

Well, at least you admit you dislike Gia for no reason…
