After a lacklustre Winter premiere, Ringer picked up the pace last week: Henry (Kristoffer Polaha) discovered Bridget (Sarah Michelle Gellar) was posing as Siobhan (also SMG) and Bridget began to put the pieces together. Does this week’s episode continue to show improvement? In a word: yes.

For weeks I’ve been fielding the same question from friends, co-workers, and even strangers on the street: why am I’m still watching (and recapping) The CW’s Ringer? I’ll admit, the question was becoming harder and harder to answer as the show wasted its goodwill and abused its talented cast. But I had faith that it would find it’s inner soapy. And low and behold, tonight was the night the show finally got its shit together and became the show I had hoped it would be.

As much as I’m enjoying this first season of The Secret Circle, there are times when I think it should be renamed “Pretty People Who Make Bad Decisions.” Oh sure, that wouldn’t really distinguish it from many of the other CW shows, but it just seems as though this particular group of teens is prone to trusting the wrong people, making poor life decisions and almost dying.
