Lost Girl gets epic in its eighth episode. Despite a mildly anticlimatic finish and a slightly mundane case-of-the-week, this episode not only reintroduces Bo’s (Anna Silk) quest for familial answers in a big way; it also gives us a huge info dump about the rules governing the Fae world. Last week’s Lost Girl was a high for the series: it had great fights, interesting new Fae, and moved the Bo (Anna Silk) / Dyson (Kris Holden-Reid) dynamic forward. This week’s episode, ‘Food For Thought’ proved just as solid as the central conflict concerned the well-being of Kenzi (Ksenia Solo) – arguably the show’s breakout star – and marked the return of hot doc, Lauren (Zoie Palmer).

Last week Lost Girl echoed my beloved Buffy, the Vampire Slayer in several ways: the case of the week featured a giant reptile and the Greek system, and our heroine, Bo (Anna Silk) slept with her boyfriend, only to have him turn into a giant sack of douche. So what’s a girl to do? Kenzi and I would go the ice cream for breakfast route, but I guess if you’re a succubus rejection means you have a threesome. That works, too!
