Bates Motel review – 1×10: ‘Midnight’

It’s season finale time for A&E’s breakout drama, Bates Motel, a show we stopped covering early on. With the end of the season on hand, I figured I would check back in to see how the prequel finished up. Short version: calling this show a piece of garbage is a huge understatement.

After only three weeks into Bates Motel, the series delves right into the cracks forming in Norman’s (Freddie Highmore) psyche, questioning which of our two leads is the more unhinged. Is Norman’s descent into madness going to slowly unfold, or is he already a permanent resident of psycho-ville?
