Fringe recap – 4×12: ‘Welcome To Westfield’

February 11, 2012 by Joe Lipsett

TVangie and I have had several conversations about the success of the “alt-timeline” that’s been explored in the fourth season of Fringe. While many viewers have been unsure (principally because we’re unsure if we should care about these new versions of our core cast), ‘Welcome to Westfield’ – in my eyes – aptly proved that this experiment is starting to pay off.

Let’s bitch it out…

Alcatraz recap: 1 x 05 – “Guy Hastings”

Alrighty Alcatraz fans, it was make or break time this week to see if the new series would be worth sticking around for the rest of the season. After a month of my griping and with the secret hope the show would burst through its tired formula and into intriguing territory, did last night’s episode succeed in changing my mind?

Let’s take a closer look after the jump. [Read more…]

Alcatraz gives us a substantial breadcrumb this week as it (slightly) advances the mythology plot. But is it tempting enough to keep me watching and recapping?

Fringe recap: 4 x 10 – “Forced Perspective”

As predicted last week, Fringe revisits the monster-of-the-week format in its latest episode, but still manages to convey some clues to the season’s endgame even if the plot served more as a standalone.

Let’s take a closer look after the jump.

Touch recap 1×01: ‘Pilot’

One day at precisely 3:18pm, Jake (David Mazouz), an eleven year-old boy who has never spoken (except in pretentious voice overs), trips the security alarm climbing a cell tower. Why is he up there? Because Jake is gifted: he has an understanding of the world and its mathematical connections. His story, as well as the stories of other random characters, are tied together in the new FOX series Touch, which aired a special, advance sneak preview on Monday.
