Broadchurch review – 1×05

Episode five of the best drama not named Breaking Bad is bracketed in silent death. This week we open with the silent recreation of murder victim Danny’s last steps by his best friend, Tom (Adam Wilson) and end with a body washed up on shore.

With Mark Latimer (Andrew Buchan) in the clear, the investigation turns up a new suspect, but the man with the underage sex conviction isn’t nearly as suspicious as the woman with the dog.

BBC America’s latest import finally makes its way across the pond. Former Doctor Who actor David Tennant (gosh he must hate being described that way) is a troubled detective charged with identifying a child murderer in the small town of Broadchurch, UK, where – naturally – everyone has a secret.

Game Of Thrones review – 3×09: ‘The Rains Of Castamere’

Take a moment to consider the last wedding you went to: maybe you sat at a bad table? The DJ had the worst taste in music? The new shoes you bought gave you blisters? The catering was equivalent to dogfood? The venue was too hot?

Well you haven’t got a thing on the Red Wedding!

With a title like ‘Dinosaurs on a Spaceship’, it’s impossible not to have fun during the second episode of the current Doctor Who season.
