‘Give em that big finish, and they’ll forget what came before.‘ At least that’s what one hopes will happen. And in the case of the series finale of the once lauded, then panned, Smash, it certainly seems to be the motto: forget YOLO!

This week, Derek (Jack Davenport) goes from gross to pathetic and Tom (Christian Borle) and Julia (Debra Messing) say one final farewell. As Hit List transfers to Broadway it brings about some new drama, while the team from Bombshell try to keep the Tony dream alive.

Will Ivy (Megan Hilty) show everyone why she was the only choice for Marilyn? Will Tom’s (Christian Borle) direction be as brilliant as Derek’s (Jack Davenport)? Will Eileen (Angelica Huston) have a smash on her hands or will it be a bomb? And most importantly, will someone explain to me why Emory Cohen is there? Let’s bitch.
