Just when it feels as though Parks and Recreation might be hitting a bit of a slump, it comes back with one of the most romantic – yet simultaneously laugh-out-loud funny -episodes this season. Not every plot point unfolds seamlessly over the episode, but the sheer volume of gags and emotional development more than make up for those bumps.

Another solid outing from our fellow Pawneeans, or as Perd Hapley would prefer we call them, ‘Perdverts’. However, there are signs that the series may have hit a rough patch creatively now that we’ve seen the same conflict for the past three episodes.

Ron has a new girlfriend! Ben and April Bond over Star Trek fan fiction! And Councilman Jamm has Irritable Bowel Syndrome? Either way, the cast and crew of Parks and Recreation have delivered another fantastic episode.

Sugar highs and existential crises? Aside from making a killer band name, these words also describe the antics of another fun episode of Parks and Recreation. Someone’s been putting glitter in the detergent again, and that can only mean one thing: Parks and Recreation is back! And what a season premiere this episode is. Last season’s finale really shook up the world of Leslie and company with her election win and Ben and April’s move to D.C.
