Another week of dual lives is upon us as Michael (Jason Isaacs) tries to understand his emotionally distant son, who has begun acting out…though if you’ve watched these in order, it’s not for the reasons that you expect.

Double the 30 Rock, double the business cases and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles references! While neither of the nights two episodes were groundbreaking or side-splittingly hysterical, they were, for the most part, consistent character-wise and joke-wise. And really, that’s all I need from this show.
And this week’s winners are…

In this week’s episode, Dave (Zachary Knighton) gets bullied, Jane (Eliza Coupe) takes it easy, Max (Adam Pally) goes to the gym and my favorite guest star returns. It’s D-Rock (Stephen Guarino) y’all!!! DRAAAMMAAA!!!

Ringer continues to move towards its first season endgame. With ‘That Woman’s Never Been A Victim Her Entire Life’, the show delivers a surprisingly solid episode – albeit slightly less exciting – episode that begins to tie events together. It’s still Ringer, though, so there remains some truly aggravating moments.

Smash throws everything but the kitchen sink into this week’s episode as the “Marilyn” workshop finally shows to an audience of potential investors. Amidst the completely uneven storytelling there is a glimmer of hope (huzzah!) when we almost get not one but three uninterrupted numbers!

Lost Girl delivers an exposition dump on succubi as a very interesting woman – hinted at during my interview with the stars earlier this week – turns up in Bo’s (Anna Silk) life. Plus: Kenzi (Ksenia Solo) and Trick (Rick Howland) bond over thieving.

Clutch my pearls!! We’ve got a little intrigue on GCB. As the show starts to settle into it’s groove in week three, the creators finally decide to give us a little intrigue involving the deceased husband of Amanda Vaughn (Leslie Bibb). In an episode that focuses heavily on relationships, is it good enough to keep my relationship with the show on good terms?
Let’s find out. [Read more…]
